Because living is learning

Complementing classroom education, we focus on teaching important skills that are currently scarcely found in regular curricula, such as mindfulness, wellbeing, health, nutrition, emotional intelligence, social skills, communication skills, intercultural competence, learning about learning, understanding the brain, digitalization, digital security, understanding socioeconomic development etc.

In the spirit of life-long learning and a thriving society, acquiring these skills should be open to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or social background. We’ve worked with gifted school children, politically active teenagers, people with learning disabilities, and prison inmates. We team up with organizations and projects that help young people recognize and realize their potential and strengths and get them mobilized to actively participate in shaping a desirable future.

“Nelly is an expert at various levels. She is able to think molecularly as well as globally. She grasps severe, impenetrable problems in her own analytical mindset. Nelly is also smart, reliable, persevering – even against resistance – and severely logical. She can endure to listen for a long time but within she can intervene instantly with a great reasoning skill. Furthermore, she is polite, friendly, balanced and has a delightful sense of humor. I would ask Nelly for help if I had to think through complex structures and determine an internal and external order.”

“We are excited about our ongoing collaboration with Nell and the Applied Life team because we believe it to be an important building block in realizing our mission to support young people in their personal development and thereby enabling a desirable and sustainable future. At apropolis, we give young people a safe space to explore their values, discover their potential, and develop the skills and tools they need in order to shape freedom and democracy. Our coaches and trainers play an important role in facilitating insightful real-life experiences and in being authentic role models. Here are some quotes from the participants of our Apropolis Summer Camp: ‘…only after coaching with Nell did I realize how many strengths I have! … Everyone should experience coaching. It makes things so much easier… Nell is so deliberate in her questions and helps me structure my thoughts in a way that allows me to gain clarity’. We have everything we need for a flourishing society: Kids and young adults with a great deal of potential. The only thing we need to do is guide them.”
